In 1904, Yarrayonga Railway Station was announced as part of the Addamsrail Network. It was later scrapped and the station left unfinished.
In 1912, work recommenced and Yarrayonga station was implemented as the terminus of the (intercity) Valley Line.
In 2071, it was agreed that the NotchRail network from neighbouring state Jebsten will extend its services to Yarrayonga.
