The Wintaran Legislative Assembly is the sole house (chamber) of the Parliament of Wintaro. The term in office of members of the Legislative Assembly is a maximum of three years from the date of the first sitting, but may be abridged if an early election is called or if Parliament is dissolved (but this has never occurred due to convention).
The Wintaran Legislative Assembly remains the only Craftian legislature, national or subnational, that uses the first-past-the-post voting system. Due to the wide discrepancies between the popular vote and seat totals, voting reform bills have frequently been introduced in parliament but have always been defeated.
The present Parliament is the 29th State Parliament of Wintaro. The most recent state election was held on 14 March 2071. The Craftian Conservative Party won a supermajority of seats, winning 23 seats out of a total of 33 on 52.47% of the vote. The Liberal Party of Craftia holds 6 seats and forms the official opposition. The National United Party (3 seats) and the Craftian Reform Party (1 seat) form the remainder of the opposition.
