Kin Loong (/ˈkɪnlʊŋ/, Chinese: 金龙 Pinyin: Jīnlóng, lit. Golden Dragon, often locally abbreviated as KL) is the most populous city of Sylvania Prefecture. As of October 2018, Kin Loong's metropolitan population is estimated to be 102,560, making it the 27th-most populous city in Enderron. It is the only major population centre in Eastern Sylvania.
Kin Loong was founded in 1616 by Chinese immigrants as a mining settlement. It boomed during the Enderronian gold rush of the mid-19th century and became one of the largest and most prosperous cities in Eastern Enderron. The boom ended at the start of the 20th century and the city entered a severe decline in population. It has experienced renewed growth since the end of World War II, as it consolidated as an official Batavian border crossing point and a regional service centre.
