Olympic is a NotchRail station on the L1 North-South Line. It serves the Notchropolis City Olympic Stadium and to a lesser extent the small residential suburb of Banksia.

Although the station has terminating facilities, a majority of trains pass through the station and continue southwards. Terminating platforms 1 and 2 are known as the 'event platforms', only used during major events such as the Notchropolis Easter Show and sporting events. Platforms 3 and 4 are the station's regular service platforms, with Platform 5 being used for limited local Downtown to Werrington Rail Link services.

Despite being served by only one line, Olympic has five platforms and is the tenth-busiest station in the NotchRail network.
